Archaeological Monitoring

Following completion of an AIA, when site impacts can not be avoided, archaeological monitoring under a Site Alteration Permit may be undertaken. This typically involves machine assisted excavation under the supervision and direction of the archaeological team. The goal of monitoring is to identify, record and collect archaeological materials within a development area.
