Ash Fuhr, BA

Archaeologist

Ash has worked as a field archaeologist since 2018 starting in and around the Cariboo. Based in the West Kootenays, she joined Ursus as an Archaeologist in 2021. She has been involved in assessments for forestry, oil and gas, and wildfire remediation projects and is working towards her Field Director status for the Interior Plateau. Ash earned a BA double major in anthropology and geography from the University of Victoria, and completed the Archaeological Field Assistant Program at Camosun College cataloguing burial cairns. She has interests in visualizing data, zooarchaeology, wild edible plants, knitting, and the outdoors.
